I've always been a 'realist' type artist. I can draw anything I see. I recently did a Froud study, and as usual my reproduction sketches did not surprise me. I'm beginning a new phase in which I want to do an imaginative study, drawing things I can't see. I thought a good leap into that would be to study manga styles and work on making up characters and scenes. You may see some early practice of that here in the gallery in the near future.
